The UP Board of Regents approved the appointment of 77 UP Scientists under the UP Scientific Productivity System for 2022-2024 in its 1381st meeting on 25 May 2023.
Congratulations to Dr. Rowel Atienza, Dr. Jordan Rel Orillaza, Dr. Marc Rosales of UP EEE Institute were conferred the title of UP Scientist I.
The UP Scientific Productivity System was established to encourage and reward scientific productivity among faculty members. Deserving scientists shall be given the rank “UP Scientist” for a specific period of three years with a monetary award, the UP Scientific Productivity Award.
A UP Scientist title (three levels: I, II, & III) is conferred to faculty members for their outstanding scientific productivity and international recognition. These include publications in prestigious journals as authors or editors-in-chief, technological outputs such as patents, scientific recognition in the form of international scientific awards, and membership in international boards as editors.
