Intramuros, Manila – The University of the Philippines Diliman Electrical & Electronics Engineering Institute (UPD EEEI) together with Cagayan State University (CSU) and the Department of Science and Technology Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI) handed over the locally designed and manufactured electric tourist transport tranvia (e-Tram) to the Intramuros Administration last 13 February 2026. The 18-seater e-Tram was designed to provide tourists in Intramuros a clean, quiet and sustainable historical tour experience.
The Institute would like to congratulate its very own, Dr. Charleston Dale M. Ambatali, on being the recipient of the Outstanding Paper Award for his paper entitled “Adaptive Parallelization of Time-Varying Dispersive Channels Using the Power Waveforming Framework,” during the 4th International Conference on Mobile Military Maritime IT Convergence (ICMIC) in Cebu, Philippines.
The UP Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute successfully held the second National Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering Conference (NEECECON) 2025 at Bohol, Philippines, which is also co-located with the International Symposium on Multimedia and Communication Technology.
