The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) College of Engineering, through the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute (EEEI), officially launched the ADI Software Innovation Hub and ADI Intelligent Edge Laboratory in February 2026, marking a key milestone in its long-standing partnership with Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI).

Developed in collaboration with ADI, the two purpose-built facilities are designed to support future-ready engineering education and research. The ADI Software Innovation Hub enables hybrid and flexible instruction through advanced audiovisual and collaboration technologies, while the ADI Intelligent Edge Laboratory provides hands-on learning with robotics, embedded systems, and ADI platforms for applied experimentation and prototyping.
At the turnover ceremony, Rob Oshana, Senior Vice President of ADI’s Software and Digital Platform group, emphasized the company’s commitment to Filipino engineering talent. “This goes beyond the transfer of tools or technology. It reflects our belief in the next generation of engineers and our commitment to helping them build what’s next—here in the Philippines.”

COE Dean Maria Antonia Tanchuling highlighted the broader impact of the partnership, noting that industry collaboration helps ensure academic programs remain aligned with rapidly evolving technologies and benefit learners beyond UP Diliman.
“It is through this industry support that the EEEI has been able to offer excellent engineering education and research that benefits not only UP students, but also students and faculty of other institutions. The impact of this is far-reaching, and it’s beyond UP Diliman. Through this partnership, we also enable the translation of cutting-edge innovation into practical applications that are needed by the industry,” she said.
