Congratulations to Dr. Jhoanna Rhodette Pedrasa, Dr. Maria Theresa De Leon, Dr. John Richard Hizon, and Dr. Lew Andrew Tria of UP EEE Institute, who were recently conferred the title of UP Scientist I under the UP Scientific Productivity System for 2023-2025.
The UP Scientific Productivity System was established to encourage and reward scientific productivity among faculty members. Deserving scientists shall be given the rank “UP Scientist” for a specific period of three years with a monetary award, the UP Scientific Productivity Award.
A UP Scientist title (three levels: I, II, & III) is conferred to faculty members for their outstanding scientific productivity and international recognition. These include publications in prestigious journals as authors or editors-in-chief, technological outputs such as patents, scientific recognition in the form of international scientific awards, and membership in international boards as editors.
