The University of the Philippines (UP) is top performing school in the October 2017 Registered Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination, with 59 passers out of 60 examinees coming from the UP Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute (UP EEEI).
Class of 2017 Valedictorian, Williard Joshua Jose ranked 2nd with 93.30% score. UP EEEI alumni Jayvee Bondoc and Loren Angelou Cruz also made it to top ten, with Bondoc on the 8th spot, with 90.00% score; followed by Cruz with 89.70%.
The October 2017 national passing rate is 46.72%, after 2235 out of 4784 Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) majors passed the board exam.
