The Robotics and Automation Laboratory is a research laboratory which works on robotic manipulators, bipeds, and autonomous navigation. Research topics under RAL may include, but not limited to manipulator dynamics, motor drives, sensor development, and autonomous vehicles.
Laboratory head: Manuel Ramos, Jr., PhD
Sample researches under RAL are as follows:
- Characterization of RAL bipedal robot capacitive MEMS accelerometer using electrical impedance measurements (Published on TENCON 2012 - 2012 IEEE Region 10 Conference, pp. 1-5; presented in Cebu, Philippines, 19-22 Nov. 2012)
- Fuzzy logic-based optimization for redundant manipulators (Published on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on (Volume:10 , Issue: 4 ), pp. 498-509, August 2002; and on Robotics and Automation, 2000. Proceedings. ICRA '00. IEEE International Conference on (Volume:4 ), pp. 3555 – 3560, presented in San Francisco, California, 24-28 April 2000)
